@Russell Brazil exactly! I feel this is the moral of the story, taken from the article. “The mostly novice investors say Morris sold them rental properties with a promise to rehab and rent them. All they had to do was sit back and wait for their monthly rent checks.” Ummm 🤔 People it’s 2019. Due diligence!

@James Wise Man! I took my 401 K and put it into a SD IRA because of that guy. His information opened my eyes to real estate and I'm doing pretty good here in Texas because of MI. It's hard for me to feel sorry for people who invest in real estate they don't see, and then claim that "Morris said he'd do everything for me." Tough break to lose all that cash. But if I trusted thousands to someone, I'd do my due diligence and minimize risks on my own.

My friend and I both rolled our 401 K's into SD IRAs. To get the cash out of these IRAs, can he loan me his IRA and I loan him mine and then cash them out, due to the fact we aren't prohibited members?
