Awesome Kristopher Hanks I'd like my stock investment club to jump into real estate but none of them seem to want to. Adding family sounds interesting. Gives a reason to talk to eachother more ;)
Myka Artis oops...accidentally hit post while writing! As I was saying, my buddy is an accountant and set up the group as an LLC. We each own a percentage of the company according to how much money we have invested in it. We each get a vote and can propose which stocks to buy. Pretty cool.
Myka Artis cool! My buddy is an smart accountant so he set up our group as an LLC.
Chris T. Awesome man, thanks I'll check it out!!
Hey BPers! How y'all doing? Question: Would forming a Real Estate Investment Club be a cool idea? Any of y'all ever done one? I currently participate in a Stock Investment Club with 5 friends of mine and it's pretty fun and we've learned quite a bit about stocks. We started the club with an initial contribution and each member contributes a set amount a month that we use to buy stocks. This got me thinking that doing something similar with Real Estate Investing would a pretty fun way to learn about REI and invest in it with a handful of other likeminded investors. Most of the podcasts talk about the importance of building a team, I thought this might be a great way to do it. I live in Hurst and would like to invest in the North Texas area. Euless, Bedford, Mid-cities, Arlington, North Richland Hills, Irving etc.. Let me know what y'all think about something like this and perhaps we could do a Meetup or something to talk about it more. I wish you all good luck in your Investment endeavors! Rock on! Stevo ;)

Dionte Bryant Welcome to BP! Hopefully we can meet up and discuss real estate. I've organized 2 BP Meetups so far and look to do more. I'm in Hurst.
Zana Blue hahaha that's true! When I first got on BP I had to google what the heck folks were talking about! Funny stuff;)
Does anyone else get annoyed when they hear folks bragging about how well they're doing in real estate? I'm all for positive, inspiring stories but as soon as I hear the terms "crushing it" or "killing it!" I instantly check out. I just picture a dude yapping away on a blue tooth, driving 90 in a red convertible sports car with vanity plates that read "CRSHNGIT," $100 haircut blowing in the wind, cutting me off in traffic, Lol. Maybe it's just me. Anybody else feel this way? Or have your own funny REI observations? I'll hang up and listen! :) Stevo in Texas
