What I’m being told is that no one will even come to give bids because everyone is already busy. I’m having a hard time completely believing this. I know Seattle is a busy market, but I can’t imagine that there is no one.

I have a unit in Birch Bay, about 1.5 hours outside Seattle. The upper unit is leaking into my lower unit master bath. The walls have been opened up and this has been determined to be an HOA responsibility. Since November we are still waiting for the HOA to get 3 bids on the project. What do I need to do to proceed so that my unit can be repaired and used again. How can I move my HOA along or take matters into my own hands without footing the bill myself.

I’m just getting started and I know I’ll have to fix up things on any property, so I’m starting with my own. I can certainly google “Handyman in Bellevue, Washington” but I am sure there is a better way to find a handyman, electrician, plumber etc.

Is it possible that you have a sit down chat and tell her how devastated you are when she says these things to you.

Tell her what you do need, like support!

Maybe share your goals with her and come with some numbers. Where do you think you will be in a year?

It sounds like she feels scared and that your family will be left with only her income and that’s very scary for her.

My family has also invested for years but they taught me nothing! Do see a lot of their struggles and complaints so often some places they own seem to be a hassle and I never got to know the good parts.

I’m not sure if this is helpful but I too know about relationship struggles and divorce is not what I want either.

I'm doing this!  I'm ready, but I am so new that I'm overwhelmed.  I'm excited to get any good tidbits and pointers.  I have some questions that will be in a seperate post.  I'm listening to audio books, podcasts and reading here and exploring.  I wantt o get some movement as i am learning.  

I live outside Bellevue, Washington in a crazy housing market.
