Hi Martin and welcome aboard.  On June 8 myself and a few other investors will be having a meet up.  Send me an email address and I'll send you the details of time and location in northern Kentucky.

Here is the link to the event.  Please RSVP if possible just so we have an idea how many will be attending.

I have sent each of you listed above a private message requesting your email address.  If you still wish to attend our first meet-up I will need your email to send the Evite.  We will be having our first on June 8th.   Even if you cannot attend but wish to be included in the future, send me the message so you are included in our list.

Glad to hear it worked out well Rick.  I am trying to gather information on two USDA sales coming up in my area and I feel like I'm beating my head against the wall.  I contacted the St. Louis office as the web site said and they were of little help.  They could not give me any appraisal information or even explain anything about the legal notice that was in our local paper.

Then I called the regional contact listed on the legal notice and they were of no help either.  It took 4 days and multiple voicemail messages to get a callback.

Were you to pay any of the back taxes listed on the sale notice or were those all satisfied by the winning bid price?

Have you attended a meeting before? If so,  can you provide a sample of the content and how it goes?

Louisville is too far for me to travel during the work week but thanks for letting me know.

Consider this excerpt from the legal notice I pulled from our local paper (I left out the pieces that are easily understood like 10% cash due at sale, etc ):

What does this mean to me?  Does the winning bid tack on all the escrow, late and other charges or are they included in the winning bid?

Does the jargon under the terms of sale indicate a clean title?  I still planned on having a title search done.  I was just a bit scared by the two-thirds of appraised value statement.  Because they posted a minimum bid amount, does this assure me the two-thirds rule is satisfied?

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated!

There are a few of us in Northern Kentucky that would like to hold our first meet-up for our area.  Can someone give a few examples of the format and content of these meetings?  I've not been to one as there are none close to me and would like suggestions from those that have attended this type of meeting.

My husband and I had the same issue with a trailer we bought for our girls to live in while attending EKU.  The reason we sold instead of held and rented was that the owner of the trailer park it was in would not allow us to rent it.  Be sure and check with the park owner (assuming it is in a park) to be sure they allow you to rent it out.

Our park owner said no.

That would be great Aaron.  I found the forum discussion on a Cincinnati meetup but that was already full for May and well north of our area.  I work in Florence and live in Pendleton county so anywhere in Boone, Kenton or Campbell county would be wonderful.  If you have a place in mind, maybe we should create a new forum post for others interested in an NKY meetup.
