Hey, does anyone have experience with short term rentals in wilmington nc (not by the beach). I was there recently for the weekend to visit family and I had a hard time finding a decent hotel suite available and the rates were about 250 night, and I am thinking there may be a demand between the beaches and Uncw.

My question is first off is there a demand in the city and are there any restrictions from the city for str.

Thank you,

I would call the local building department and ask, if its zoned for a single family, you may not be able to do get your permits.

I started investing into syndications this past year, so far doing well, but I'm not in it long enough to give recommendations.  Most important is do your homework and to get to know them before putting in your $.

It may make sense to offer them money if they leave by say the end of the week, so they can go somewhere else, and you avoid the eviction process and costs, I did it once and it worked. But I would talk to someone more experienced first.
