Hi Josh, welcome to BP.

This is a great place to learn. Make sure to listen to all the BP podcasts, read the articles on the main blog and be active in these forums to learn a ton very quickly about any topic in real estate you want to know more about.

This is also a great place to meet people that can be assets to your business. Lots of great connections all over but we also have a very strong and active contingent here in MA on here so make sure to find them (Set up some keyword alerts to find out about local topics) and get connected.

Besides doing that on here make sure to get out to some of the many local investor events we have.  Definitely check out the Black Diamond meetings (In both Worcester and Waltham), it is a great event.  Not many other options right near you now but lots of stuff back around the city you can check out.

My favorite is the Black Diamond meeting in Waltham (alternates every other month with their Worcester location, next Waltham meeting is in July). Other ones in and around the city are The Boston Wealth Builders in the city, the Boston Area REIA in Medford and the Boston REIA in Dedham. Many other options north and south of the city as well.

Many other options north and south of the city as well.

Besides doing that on here make sure to get out to some of the many local investor events we have.  I'd recommend checking out the NWCLA (Northern Worcester County Landlord Association) in Fitchburg and also look at masslandlords(dot)net for some good resources and other local groups.  For general real estate networking definitely attend the Black Diamond meeting in Worcester (alternates monthly with their Waltham location, this is a Worcester month).  Many other options if you come more east as well.

There are tons of meetings in our area.

Black Diamond is my favorite and as mentioned they alternate monthly between the Waltham and Worcester location.  This month is Worcester and July will be Walltham.

The Boston Wealth Builders have meetings in the city but also do a lot of other events like tours of members projects.  Think there is a tour of a condo conversion in East Boston tomorrow for example.

Other groups off the top of my head...

Boston Area REIA in Medford

NEREIA in Chelmsford

The Boston REIA in Dedham

The Boston Investors Meetup - quarterly with next one in July

massrealestate(dot)net with meetings in Peabody and Danvers (I think)

The NH real estate mastermind in Nashua, NH

The Eastern Mass REIA in Rockland

And if you want to put some miles on the car:

NHREIA in Manchester, NH

South Shore REIA by the Cape

The House Flipping School Meetup in Plymouth

The Western Mass REIA in West Springfield

And there are probably lots of other ones I am missing as well.

If you hear of any networking opportunities in our area I'd love to know about them. There was one REIA in Rockland but it doesn't appear to be active anymore.

The meeting in Rockland is still active.

For some reason he let the website expire and hasn't fixed it.  Not one that I have attended but based on the number of reminder emails I get about the meetings it is still active.  :)
