Michael, Thanks for all the information, I have been studying business for the past year now, and a lot of what you said is taught in the cirriculum. However know that in your experience what has worked in particular is most helpful. Thanks again.

Regardless, it is good having you on board and I hope you find some great people to network and make deals with.

I am in the semiconductor industry now, About 3 years ago I was in the lending indusrty, but due to limitations in pay, I made the move. Sorry for the confusion.

Post: Finding a good REI club

Andrew,

In other posts in other forums I have seen NWREII thrown around. It seems to be a well recognized group, however some people have mentioned that it is going through some pains due to a change in management. I am in the same boat, looking for a group, however I am trying to locate a smaller group of investors, I feel that it would be more condusive to my learning versus a large group of guru's and sales pitches. Hope some of what is above helped. Good luck in your endeavors.

PS let me know if you come across any good smaller groups.

Cheers,

Scott T

Congrats kracker, its good to see that it unloaded with profit and not having to hold the property. Good luck in the future, hopefully you'll have more flips like it.

PS Glad you kept the fireplace as it was, personally I think it adds a bit of charm to the room.

Cheers,

Scott T.

I would like a small, motivated and focused group to get involved with personally.

West Coast,

I agree, smaller groups allows for a tighter knit community, one that people can feel comfortable sharing their ideas or experiences, and it also allows for the group to stay better focused in my opinion. I am also looking for an REI groups that is smaller, as I am just starting, trying to keep up with the larger groups could be more challenging, and the learning curve would have more uncertainty.

Thanks Eric, I guess small world. Although its nice to have people familiar with our area on-line. I'll be sure to dig in, I've been reading some of the bulletins and I am amazed at the amount of information held in there that I hadn't even thought about. Looking forward to more of it, just don't want to be over-educated... might scare me off :D

I'll chime in as well, I had a subscription for 3 months and it was useless to me. The information realtytrac provided was something I already knew, and the listings at least in OR seemed to be approx 3-6months out-dated. When I tried to use it to locate properties in New Mexico and Arizona I found it to even more useless as it wouldn't carry half of the information I wanted. I agree with everyone else, the local title company can email you the information generally for free. Thats probably your best bet. Good Luck

Scott T.
