Tim I agree, it looks like there are several more painful experiences to come before anything gets better. Be interesting to see how it plays out though.

Tim, Ray, & John,

Thanks for the input, I hadn't realized the group was that size, I had assumed (yes I know...wrong wrong wrong) that it was smaller group comprised of 50-100 people. I may have to go and check them out. Are there meetings still the 1st thursday of every month? If so I may just attend this week. Thanks again.

Cheers,

Scott Tierney

I heard something to the effect of approx 5% for OR, or specifically the Portland area, although may be Eric Foster can help me out on this one it may be higher or lower given recent market circumstances in the US.

Okay well Feb wasn't a great month but it wasn't completely dismal, here goes with Mar hope it gets better from here :D

1) Continue to tackle those pesky mistakes from years past

2) Continue to save money

3) Locate potential properties in the AZ area preferably Queen Creek, Tempe or Chandler.

4) Get some extended time off of work, gotta get a way from "the man" every once and a while.

Here goes, will keep you all posted.

Got some done, somewhat disappointing but at least there was some progress:

Cleared quite a few of the mistakes, not all but at least its getting taken care of and in a some weird way it felt good not sure if thats a good thing or not.

Saved some money up, trying to complete tackling the rest of my first goal.

As for the real estate agent thing, with my work schedule as is, the only experience I have got is from reading the bulletins on BP, however I think that this has been more valuable than not.

Hi Steph,

You may want to contact different lenders and see what properties they may have for you. I know that your surrounding area has been hit hard with foreclosures particularily OH & MI. I am not too sure how things are in Indy but that would give you a start. You may also want to try the title companies for lists of preforclosures in your area. Hope that helps a little bit.

Cheers,

Scott Tierney

I'll join in, my goal for february is to1) correct some mistakes I made when I was younger in order to purchase my own house, 2) Get some experience in the real estate agent side of things, 3) save money and enjoy life as it comes.

Jason, thanks for message. I am kind of in the same boat, I like to plan and plan to make sure I'm CYA'd at all times. It however does seem to hinder progressing to the next step.
