Crane Title is about the most investor friendly company you will find in Mobile. Surety Land Title does a lot with investors also but Crane Title is a smaller firm who is owned by a lawyer (Andrew Crane) who has investment properties of his own. He works with a lot of the smaller community banks also which can help you with loans and such. Good luck!

Welcome to the BP forums! I invest in Mobile, Al. If you are new, or seasoned, then there is lots to learn on BP. Look thought the forums and ask questions. The folks on here are very knowledgable and helpful. If you have any questions specific to the Mobile area then feel free to message me and I will see what I can do for ya. There is also a local investment group, Port City Real Estate Investor's Association (google it), although recently we have not had many meetings. Still you can sign up for email notifications so you know when a meeting will be held. Good luck Sir!

Welcome to BP and soon to the Gulf Coast! I am in Mobile, Al. which is probably across the Bay from where you will be looking. Be sure to read as much as you can and most of all take action to get to where you want to be. 

I don't blame you for wanting to travel to cooler climates. It is H-O-T right now and I am wishing I had a place next door to Santa Claus to run to today! Seriously though, the Alabama Gulf Coast is a beautiful place to live and a great place to invest if you can stand the heat.

     I live in Mobile, Al. and have owned rental property here since 2001. I am more than happy to point you in the right direction for some realtors and some property managers in the area. I can also give you some of my opinions on different areas of town. Feel free to send me a PM with more information about the types of areas and properties you are looking for and I can see what I can do for you. Sometimes my schedule gets a little hectic so sending an email directly to my email address (in my signature) is a better way to ensure I get your message. Welcome to BP! I am in Mobile, Al. so if you need anything around here then feel free to let me know. I am sure that house prices are a shock to you after having purchased in Mobile. I have seen what things sell for in other cities and can say that shock is an understatement. LOL!

I would suggest calling around to some of the smaller banks in town and talk with their commercial lenders. I have found that they are happy to tell you about what they can and can not do to help you. Even if they don't do "portfolio" loans I am sure they have something that will work for you. If you would like some names and numbers of people I have used then feel free to PM me. If they can't help you then they can probably point you in the right direction to continue your search.
