I am hoping that one of you with Austin, TX / Travis County bidding experience would be willing to have a short phone conversation regarding some of the nuances when bidding "at the courthouse steps".  I would like to arm myself with as much knowledge as possible prior to showing up.

Thanks in advance.

I appreciate the updates you do on the Austin market. Thank you.

Thank you for the responses.

I probably should have mentioned I don't have access to the home.

I am hoping that some of you may be able to help me avoid potential pitfalls when evaluating the possible flip of a home that has been sitting vacant for 2 years.  The property is in Austin, Texas, is in a nice neighborhood, and from the exterior and peaking through the windows, appears to be in pretty good shape.  Any advice on specifics to look at, i.e. foundation, etc., that may have premature wear because of the vacancy would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Brad

Good luck.

Welcome @Chris Murphy! You have come to the right place to educate yourself. You'll find a wealth of knowledge with investors that range from those that are brand new to the industry, to some of the most successful out there.

Don't hesitate to ask questions; I think you'll find the community very welcoming.

Best,

Brad

@Brandon Richards are you only interested in properties in the Dalls area, or other areas of Texas as well, more specifically Austin?

@Nirmal Khanderia and @Jennifer Jackson I am a new investor and haven't personally closed with them but they are very investor friendly and can handle any type of closing you require.  Dan Castro, a well respected real estate attorney in Austin and active investor himself, is either directly affiliated with them or at the very least I know recommends them during his investor bootcamp.  As for estimating cost, give them a call.  Hope this helps.
