Hey Erman! Thank you for your post! I loved it! Especially the fact that you really want to learn about the Miami market and everything from A to Z. I feel like I can relate to this. I love to learn and sharing what I learn with others. Have you ever heard the saying "to teach is to learn twice"? For me that means, you learn something and when you share it, you learn even more. Like you never really learn something until you can explain it to someone else or teach it!

I've lived in Miami my whole life. North Miami, Hialeah and now Miami Gardens. I, too, am focusing more on single family homes right now then I want to focus on rental properties.

Were you born here to? What area do like most or are you going to focus on?

When you say Foreign cash buyers... Where are they from exactly?

I'm sorry you haven't had luck so far. That will change soon! As long as you continue to want it, the right connections will appear. (I'm a strong believer in the law of attraction) lol and I will let you know about any meet ups!

We can take a vote on the day and time... so Weekday or Weekend? Mornings or evenings?

For me a weekday during the evening may work. Weekends, I'm free at any time.

And we can post this on Bigger Pockets under the events section - Once we figure out the location. 

South Florida ("Ft. Lauderdale / Broward County / Miami-Dade Meet up") One of those options LOL. Which ever works for everyone, I'm usually all over the place!

I'll be looking for more people to invite as well.  :)

OOOUUU I can bring my REI folder to share information I've learned, my ideas notebook and books that I've found helpful.

.....And then imagine we meet up at a bar and I'm the only dork with all these books HAHAHHAA Oh well!!

Great idea! I've been wanting the same thing! 

&You know you can count me in! How about starting a weekly or monthly meet up?

I've connected with newbies all over the place but I really want to form or be in a power group in South Florida. Right now there's a group of REI that meet up at Del Rey Beach and along time about there was a group doing a meet up/s at MIA Brewery.

But a meet up for newbies would be nice. I think it will be even better to meet up with a purpose in sharing brilliant ideas and brainstorming. We need passion driven people with a desire to succeed!

Just to throw some ideas out and we don't have to do all of these....

Meet up 1 day a week,

Make a Facebook group,

Have a group chat,

Video chat 1 day a week,

.... To keep constant communication and hold each other accountable.   :)

Hi Daniel! Welcome back to BP (interactively) lol. First and foremost, thank you for your service and bravery!!! Congrats to you on moving and how exciting that you will be flying the F-5! (Honestly had to search that up)

I agree. Key West seems underrepresented. I personally LOVE the keys! I try to go as much as possible for little weekend trips. Or if not to Key Largo. Sometimes we'll use the "Birthday Trip" excuse just to go down there. but yeah the keys is AMAZING. Especially for vacation rentals or airbnb. 

I have friends that have property in a placed called Long Key Outdoor Resort. It's a BEAUTIFUL place and they rent it out during the winter. I've always wanted a place of my own there. BUT I mentioned the idea of looking into properties in the keys to other investors and they kind of shrugged off the idea. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT! UGH  anyways... lol

Hello Stefan!  I'm happy you posted this! I've been looking for people to network with in the area. 

I met two great individuals today and we're all fired up about our REI ideas :)

We met up at a property (I just kind of watched them analyze the property). They're thinking of rehabbing or possibly wholesaling it. 

BUT If their schedules are open, we can all meet somewhere for coffee and brainstorm our ideas. :)))

Also, I found two potential Mobile Home properties that I've kind of left there floating in my lead sheet. I don't have a cash buyer for them so I haven't pursued it.

Anyways! Let's see if we can meet! 

@Leo Jurado  I JUST WENT DOOR KNOCKING FOR THE FIRST TIME YESTERDAY TOO!!!! LOL It's like your reading my mind!!!! Okay so I just had an idea!!!!

@Leo Jurado Wow! You're story sounds similar to mine! LOL I went to a business conference NAC18 for Tony Robbins and Gary V. For me, there's a lot of other speakers that have influenced me more but Tony Robbins is alright. :)

I went to NAC18 then Than Merrill's 3-day workshop, started their mentorship program then ended up getting a refund because I realized it was not worth it. There information was valuable. But I wanted something more interactive.

 So I joined my local investor, (BREIA) and now I have Ryan as my mentor. 

He's amazing. And I love that they will fund my deals. I also joined CPA, which has been even MORE helpful. Both have really helped me get a move on with REI.

What doors have you knocked on? Where did you find these leads?
