How do you split cost seg rapid depreciation on a STR in a partnership when one partner is REPS but the other partner is not?

Can the non-reps partner take advantage under the hours actively working on the unit to qualify for active depreciation?  Then, the reps partner can also take hers/his depreciation too?

@tonyrobinson from the rookie podcast is an investor in Joshua Tree.  Although I'm not interested in that area, one of my colleagues is bullish on J Tree.  She says its the hip place for millenials from So Cal to hang out.  Maybe the modern palm springs?
