@Morgan Nilsen

Yeah man we have a lot to catch up on.. I'll call you

The reason for my hesitation to follow up with the agent and the reason for this post is that I'm worried it may put my negotiation on the weaker side. I read a blog recently which said breaking the silence is not always the best step in a negotiation. What are your thoughts on that?

I'm in Dubai where I don't think I need to have an agent represent me as such. We are not as organized as the US yet :-)

But I guess the response time of agents is universal lol

@David Greene

I have sent you a message but I'm not sure if it went through. Please let me know if I need to send again.

Dear Experts

I have been studying a particular neighborhood in my city for some time now and I found this great deal. The asking price was 355k. I spoke with the broker and told him I'll make an offer shortly. After a couple of days, I chatted with him on WhatsApp. I asked him if the property was still available. He said yes. I offered 300k. No reply!

What should I do next?

@Graham King

Thanks for the advice. This is very helpful. I'll update soon on this thread the choice I go with. I'm just having some trouble with my login there which should be sorted soon.

Thanks

Thanks @Chad Duval

Is "info@" applicable for domain names with first and last names like mine?

Since I am just starting out I would like to keep it generic at the moment and branch out later.

I want to be able to professionally share my contact information with other investors during real estate meet-ups and networking in general. I have already  registered my domain name sachinacharya.com

Now before I can create that business card I can hand out, I'm facing this big question - what  should be my email address. I have already created "contactme" but in less than 24 hours I have already started hating it. sachin @ sachinacharya.com sounds redundant.

So please suggest a good email address that goes well with @ sachinacharya.com

Next, any suggestions on a simple and elegant business card format? I don't have much information to put except for my name, email and number. The objective is to promote my name as a brand itself. I don't have a company registered yet and hence no logo either.

Looking forward to your inputs.

Thanks

Thanks for the great question. I have clicked the Follow Topic button in the hope of learning from the answers from successful and experienced marketeers.

Wonder if someone has tried different subject lines and have tracked the success rates for each in an attempt to arrive at the most effective ones.

@Lola Moiseeva

Hello and welcome to Bigger Pockets! And, welcome to the club of real estate investors in Dubai ☺

First about Bigger Pockets.. this is an awesome place to network with other investors and professionals that can help you in your real estate career. But that's just one little part.

Not sure if you have checked out the other contents yet. If not, I encourage you to read the blogs, check out the forum posts, set up some keyword alerts like "Dubai", "Sharjah", etc. and your interests. This will make sure you are notified as soon as someone posts with those words. By the way that's the way I was alerted about your post.

Also listen to the podcasts. There are over 150 hours of amazing interviews with people who have done what we are learning how to do.

Then there is the Ask BP section which includes some great Q&As. There are many books available here too. Check out the suggestions at biggerpockets.com/books

Now a little about investing in the UAE. The laws in Sharjah about rent locking for 3 years makes it less attractive to me personally, but again I can't say much because I haven't studied the emirate yet. I can guide you about Dubai and especially International City. It's a low hanging fruit and the returns beat the country average.

Feel free to ask questions. I'll be add whatever value I can.

Good luck!
