Hi Guys, I'm seeking something similar. Is anyone still involved in these or has found one to be helpful in the past? Specifically, I'm a house hacker in Denver and looking to contribute to a personal growth community.

@Account Closed, Thank you for your input!

Has anyone had experience borrowing from a hard money lender for an Indy investment without an LLC?

I've spoke with a few national lenders that tell me it's better for me to create an LLC for tax purposes, but I was planning to submit my personal finance info to get a proof of funds letter before connecting with an agent and submitting offers.

Hey Maste, I’m late to the party here, but checkout the Indy Investor podcast because they have a new neighborhood series out that goes in depth into the nuances of a few of the neighborhoods. Good luck!

@Steven May, @Rick Novotny, @Rachel Morrow, @Duane Alexander and @Ramon Vazquez these are really helpful suggestions. Thank you all very much! I get the sense that KC has a strong investor community and looking forward to exploring the city via driving, walking and refueling on some Jack Stack! Hopefully our paths will cross at some point in the future. Best regards, Ryan

Hi KC Investors,

I'll be taking a trip next week for a few days. I want to experience what KC has to offer and decide if it's where I'd like to invest/start building a network. Really curious to hear recommendations for:

1) An area to stay in (downtown?) and hotel

2) Places to sight-see

3) If you'd be willing to meet up and talk REI, that would be awesome too. Please direct-message me

Thanks for suggestions in advance!

@Stephen DeThample This is clear and specific. Thanks for your input.

@Suzanne Player Awesome idea. I had not thought of using my location as that advantage. Plus, it will help me gain an understanding of my local market better. I'll have to think more about where I could share that offer with others.

@Account Closed I suppose it depends on your definition of value. I would agree that profit is the desired outcome of adding value. But I think that there can be intermediate mechanisms that directly lead to that outcome, such as providing insights, information/data, providing referrals or connections, or spending time to complete a task or research a topic. An analogy to my point could be drawn with scoring points in sports. Yes, you need to score pts to win a game, but there are actions you need to take in order to effectively score (pass, shoot, run, etc.)
