Yes I attended and they wanted money again. It appears everyone is asking for money. It did peak my interest. I always learn something new. Being new to real estate investing. I see that it's a huge world unto itself. He talked about buying judgement liens. It seems so easy so I'll doors research on that one too. Do you know much about it?

I'm looking for a mentor on my area and I signed up for some meetups as well.

I'm scheduled to attend a few REI meetings and hopefully I can find a mentor through the group. I looked on Craigslist for mentors but no luck there. this site has been very helpful and I'm learning something new everyday. When I learn and become an expert I hope to give back too.

@Derek Tyler you must understand something. I spent the last 3 days in a room full of gurus as you call them working on my mind opening my mind up to a whole world of new possibilities giving me a glimpse of hope for the first time in many many years. My heart was racing my vision was expanding I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin. They had my full attention taking every note as ideas flowed...just to be let down by the upselling. My balloon deflated and all of a sudden I want to disappear into the nothingness that I felt inside. It took everything in my power to fight back the tears and I really didn't fight them back because I went into the ladies room and cried in private not wanting my husband to see the disappointment to see the life being sucked out of me. It's taken me a minute to recuperate. When I joined this forum I was still in the grieving stage. I'm finally at a stage where I can let go of the hope and move forward to a more sound plan. You are absolutely correct and I am taking heed. I am listening and I will learn from others. As a matter of fact I have learned a lot in just a few days. I've joined some local meetups and I will continue to seek a mentor as well as read and listen to more podcast. Thank you for your sound advice that says wake up and smell the coffee.

@Nick Kent that's hilarious lol!!! I was so eager and so excited to learn and ready to work and start helping people and myself that I never stopped to think about all the things that could go wrong. I was only thinking of how I would make things right. It was a silly gung ho over zealous act and I feel foolish. I was definitely too close to the mirror to see that one. Thanks for the eye opening reality check Nick!
