Thanks for your reply!
I don't treat myself as a trade or business of lending money.

Hi,
I opened a HELOC account and withdrew the money to lend it to an RE developer.
I made profits from it eventually, as well as paid interest to the HELOC bank.

Can I report it in a way that will allow to deduct the interest I paid to the HELOC bank? Which form does the developer need to provide?
My accountant was not very convincing with his answer, so wanted to hear other ideas.

Thanks!

Hi,

Got a letter from an attorney saying a Door Dash delivery person slipped and fell and injured himself severely on my property (RI).

My property manager is responsible for clearing the snow off the property. Can they be held responsible for that?
Isn't Door Dash providing insurance for workers, or am I responsible anyway since thee was allegedly neglect?

I forwarded the letter to my insurance company, I don't have an LLC, just an umbrella.

Thanks!

Thanks for everyone's opinions! This is gold!

I'm currently thinking of doing the following (left to right):
12 inch cabinet (with countertop) - 23 inch sink - 24 inch dishwasher (with countertop) - 3 inch filler (with countertop) - 24 inch stove.

In terms of cabinets, I understand that stock cabinets are cheaper so trying to stick to them. Therefore I might be able to have one 36 inch cabinet to fit the leftmost part in my plan ( the 12 inch cabinet + sink).

The big piece of countertop in this plan is 27 inch long. Not huge but that's a tradeoff I guess.

@Evan Polaski, the fridge is outside this pantry/kitchen room. Not planning to put any countertop space next to it.

@JD Martin, there is a small window at the end of the room (leftmost), see my drawing). Does that make any difference?

@Carl Fredrickson, I was concerned about having the stove/oven next to the side wall at the end of the room. I hear that is no longer up to code (for new construction, which this isn't). If there is a slight risk to it, I'd rather have a smaller continuous countertop but avoid the risk.

Hi, I'm redoing the kitchen in a unit, and I have some concerns with placing the electric stove and sink.
As you can see from the picture, it's a very small kitchen area (might even call it a pantry, the fridge is left outside that pantry).
My questions:

1. Can I place the electric stove next to the back wall(all the way to the left)? I was concerned about the heat from the stove might damage the wall.
2. Can I place the electric stove next to the sink? I was concerned about the splashing sink water might do some damage to the stove? Or could cause a fire?

I wish to squeeze them as much as I can in order to have a large continuous countertop space as much as possible (on the right).

Is there any code around these kind of decisions?

Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks.
