Hi @Patti Robertson!

Yep, the shortage seems to be a constant. We are using a local property manager. Always interested in making local connections.

Hello Fellow Investors!

My wife and I recently purchased a 6 unit property in Norfolk, VA! We are in search of reliable local handymen and/or contractors to perform improvements. Thanks in advance for sharing your reccommendations!

Hi Corin and Kelley!

Welcome and congratulations! Mrs. Lee and I are 9 year newlyweds and long time DFW residents! We updated our first home shortly after getting married in 2009. It became our first rental property in 2013! Texas has been good to our family! We've been investing for the last 5 years using the knowledge we've gained from Bigger Pockets and a number of books we've read. We are reaping the fruits of our labor and enjoy helping others do the same. Please don't hesitate to reach out if we can be of assistance. If you haven't already, check out the house hacking blog posts.

We've used both and found that the broker experience is much more efficient. We both work full time. When we're doing deals time is of the essence.

We have found apps like Thumb Tack and Home Advisor extremely helpful when in need of multiple quotes and a fast turn around.

We were excited to reach out to NREIG for insurance quotes. After providing declaration pages for our properties we got NOTHING back. I can only guess that the company could not beat Allstate and just chose to not to provide the requested quotes. The experience was quite disappointing.
