 I'm a 2013 Grad from A&M.  Once again, good to see other aggies on here.  I have a full time job in Plano, but slowly but slowly getting into real estate. I'm currently wholesaling deals and hope to have my first deal this year.  I'm no expert but feel free to reach out to me about any wholesaling or strategy questions.  Everyone at BiggerPockets is here to help.  Literally soak up all the knowledge you can get. Podcasts are a great start.

Alex, welcome to the community! You sound like you are in a similar same boat as me. First of all, I also enjoy the personal finance and real estate subreddits. They usually have some pretty solid advice. I just graduated from Texas A&M and work in Plano too! I took your same approach by educating myself first. Keep it up. I now have a much greater understanding of real estate and some of the different strategies. My current goal is to begin getting hands on experience. One way to do that is by getting involved locally. There are several REIAs in the DFW area. Why don't you join us tomorrow night at the DFW Bigger Pockets meet up. It will be my first time attending.

Well I joined BP a couple months ago, but really became involved this past month. I just graduated from Texas A&M with a BBA in December. In January, I moved to Dallas to work in Plano. I consider myself blessed to have a job, but I really want to use REI as a means to create passive income (Buy and Hold). I know it won't come without hard work, which I'm more than willing to put in. BP has been a great resource so far. I'm probably on my 15th podcast so far. I'm listening to it commuting, at work, at the gym (maybe a little too much ;). However, I really want to get involved locally in the North Dallas (DFW) area Real Estate atmosphere and eventually find a mentor in the area. If any local investors have any opportunities for me to get hands on experience or just to chat over coffee, please let me know! I'd love to buy your coffee. Thanks!
