Hello BP community - I am looking for a Hard Money Lender that speaks Spanish and works with people in CT. Any ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

@Jeff Brown - Next to the BiggerPockets logo (Upper left hand corner) go to "Connect" then "Events" The 2 that i been to are Central CT Meetup group in Manchester and the Wallingford Meet up group.

Manchester is great for beginners - The meeting has structure, then you can network afterwards.

Wallingford is more free form (think work after hours networking) and it seems like most in this group are seasoned investors looking to up their game.

Hope that helps

@Franklyn Gutierrez - If your thinking of Bridgeport the following neighborhoods are the best in my opinion - Black Rock, North End, Brooklawn and Forest Lake

@Vinny Joseph - Bridgeport is ok if you stick to the North End, Forest Glen and Black Rock Neighborhoods. Stratford is also ok. There are usually some duplexes down by Honey Spot Rd and Lordship Blvd. You got to be careful with the flood zones there.

@Louis I. - I always like Bethel and was always surprised about how night and day it is from Danbury. I used to take Black Rock Turnpike from Fairfield.

Hello Franklyn,

Fairfield County is considered "New York's suburbs" because of its proximity to NY. This is the most expensive county in CT. Multifamilies are more common in Bridgeport, Norwalk and Stamford. Those are all cities with their good and bad areas. If you find a multifamily in another town in Fairfield County, then I would seriously consider it given that they are not that common. If you want I can send you multifamilies via the MLS for Fairfield County only.

Thanks

@ Scott Holister when are the meeting?

@Marco Epifani - I think you actually have to own it first. Then you can sell it forward. It can't be a double closing or else its considered a net sale which is illegal for realtors in CT. From what it seems to me is that a lot of wholesalers are not agents for this reason. They act more like Pawn-broker between buyers and sellers. At least that the impression that i get.

@Daniel Weber - Is that similar to lexus nexus?
