The renter that put cameras up did indeed ask permission which I granted. The cameras are mounted on a patio rail. A week ago someone took something out of his unlocked car. There is definitely not a crime problem, I’ve owned the apartments for 2.5 years and have had only one other issue. I see nothing wrong with the cameras

So I’ve got renter that put up a couple of cameras on the outside of his apartment, one looking into a car port the other looking at the sidewalk and steps. His neighbor just called not Happy privacy invasion bla bla bla. Am I correct in thinking the guy that put up cameras is in the right to do so?
Ok what’s an STR?
Ok so I have 40 unit complex with 4 laundry rooms The equipment is aging a little and half really needs replaced. So I had a guy quote me for taking the laundry over. It’s a 60/40 split 40 to me. But he will furnish new equipment and raise prices a bit. Currently it brings in about 100-140 per week. In addition I’ll receive a bonus up front on if I go with a 1-3-5 year contract and they will purchase the old equipment ( probably not for much) Thoughts?
Ok I’m in both the flooring business and the property rental business. So if you put in a decent Carpet say a Berber with a good pad for around 3.00 a sqft i honestly think it would be reasonable to expect to get 8-10 years of use out of the Carpet. I’m not to far from Ottawa and think you could get hardwood floors refinished for 2.00-2.50 a sqft. If that’s the end goal before selling I would do that now, and maybe get a few inexpensive area rugs to help protect. Not a huge fan of cheap laminate. I do like the click together lvt in rentals but mostly if I can glue down some lvt I’m much happier with that. Obviously you don’t want to think about using glue or putting down a subfloor to glue on. That’s my two cents
How’s the plumbing? I recently purchased a 40 unit and knew the copper from 1970 was not the best... it’s proved bad very bad. Im still doing ok but wish I had adjusted the numbers for that issue.
It kinda looks to me that the trim is a bit moisture damaged? Is there a window above the damage? It very well might go down by its self.

Is there any issues with adding a property to a LLC?
