My comments - You definitely should look in central & South Jersey or Phila suburbs. Jersey shore & north Jersey won't work well but There are NJ opportunities where the numbers work. You gotta be willing to travel though. Find your first property that needs mostly cosmetic non structural work to start. Pay for an inspection so you can feel more secure what you are getting yourself into.

Hi BP I appreciate your help I'm looking at investing in a property in town. I've read several BP threads on Trenton that are a year or more old and a few were very negative. I've read about some new developments in the works for Trenton near the train station and recently visited the area. I was wondering what people thought of Trenton today and whether the prospects for the town are improving , declining or stable from your perspective as an investor. Would you buy a commercial property within Trenton today or would you instead look at nearby towns/other areas in the South Jersey area? Thank you for sharing your thoughts and opinions.
