This just comes to show that not even lawsuits are able to somehow help or motivate law makers to lift moratoriums on The landlords behalf. This just comes to show we are now sitting ducks getting ready to get hunted down.

I highly doubt it will get passed in the Senate. I mean who knows what can happen now with all these horrible rules and regulations happening over covid 19

@Shiva Bhaskar I don’t see this moratorium getting over turned through a lawsuit to be honest with you. It’s been almost 5months and we haven’t heard any movement nor seen anything happening for landlords. I’m sure Judges are ready for any landlord with dozens of excuses on why to not drop the moratorium. But let’s see what apartment associations have in mind when they go to court.

@David To eviction moratorium for California was Just extended through September! This is horrible!!

@Michael A. believe it or not, but here in California there’s 0 talk about how we are supposed to be compensated. I guess at this point they don’t care about landlords. I think they care more about the homeless. Seems as if they have a lot more rights than we do🤷🏽‍♂️ Gotta love Cali

On the bright side your Eviction moratorium was lifted. Here in California its a different ball game. I’m sure ours will take monthS maybe years. No end in sight😞

There is a law SB 1410 working through the CA state legislature.  You can google and follow it's action. It's passed the state senate and is now with the assembly.  They need to work together to edit it.  Once it is passed, I predict evictions will resume. It will be Fall at best.  I'm following it closely.  You can read about it here:

That’s pretty sweet! I was unaware of that!! Thank you!!

@Joe Splitrock that isn’t a bad idea at all. But then again the media is very good at making us landlords look like monsters. They’ll be the first who twist the moral of the story to “LANDLORD WANTS TO EVICT TENANT DURING PANDEMIC” Or “PROFIT OVER HUMAN LIFE”

@Sandra Slivka your right suing the state will get no where. State Judges are obviously going to side with the state meaning your case is basically over before it started. There’s an article about New York landlords suing the Governor which was dropped through a state judge stating the moratorium is legal since they aren’t waving rents. Rents are just being postponed to a later due date. And tenants are building their debt.

I hate to admit it. But I think there’s NOTHING we can do about this moratorium. I guess I’m that dude who’s going to admit it. I’m giving this until January before I start letting go of my lower income rentals. I’m sure those will get hit the worst. Tenants are paying but the question is until when? The Unemployment bonus runs out at the end of July. The news media is basically telling tenants NOT to pay rent since evictions can’t be processed. And to top it off I think California will close up again in the upcoming weeks due to infection Spikes. I doubt this is going to be resolved this year alone. I can’t see this getting better until maybe the end of 2021.
