I have a a tax question. I cashed out refi a property under my name into an llc for me and my partner. We took money out and left it into the account.  Now I took money out and my accounts tells me it will be taxed. I thought debt is not taxable.

Quote from @Ryan Muska:

Hi Ricardo!

Congrats on having a multi-unit already! You won't need 20% down if you plan on living in this new property.

I'd love to connect to further discuss how I may be able to help you!
that’s what I thought. A lender said I could not do that. I was trying for a fha loan to change residence and was told I cannot move into a multi just a single family

Hello just wanted some input on next steps. I bought a 3 family 2 years ago and it’s been great. Now I’ve been there two years and want to get into another multi family and rent the one I have now full.
what strategies can I use. I was told I needed 20 percent but the higher costs of the houses makes it a little tough. I guess maybe use equity and scrape up the 20 percent or maybe a lender who can work with me.

Bridgeport house market is high. Good thing I bought 5 years ago. Bought last year and it’s making money. But not like the first one. I suggest going to Waterbury. That’s my next stop dependS on the market

Hi everyone and I have a question about selling a home and taxes.

ii want to sell my investment house . I have another person on the title with me. 50/50 ownership.

the mortgage is under my name . So I want to sell And.use my half of the proceeds to buy a home for myself and give the half to the other person. How does that function in my taxes since I claim the house on my taxes. I don't want to pay taxes on the other person's half.
