Asher Anthes are you going to the metrolina REIA meeting tonight? should be a good place to meet people in person that have done this multiple times and get in-person advice on what you should do. If you already know about the group then see you out there. If not shoot me a message or call and we should meet up out there.

Talk to you soon.

@stevebabiak I agree with that. I am going to attack this at all angles since I'm long on time. What's your off market deal strategy? Definitely would like to gain some insight. Thanks for the reply

So an estimate on when the mobile app would be available? End of the year? Will it be for tablet devices as well?

Also can Joshua Dorkin present it "Apple-Style" as if it were a new i-product. that'd be pretty cool.

Joel Owens thanks for the reply. Being a recent college graduate the funds (<20K) are insufficient to do a lot of deals at this point so I'm assuming that the best agents to target are those that are looking to get their feet wet and get deals under their belt as you suggested.

With regards to those willing to work with me, all I'd require is for daily/weekly listings to be sent to me and for them to submit offers on my behalf. nothing absurd such as showing me every property and wasting any more of their time and efforts that is necessary. Do you think this will help establish some rapport?

Thanks again for the reply.

Hey BP community,

Just like to get the ball rolling on how some of you found your first realtor to work with to send you listings in your area?

From my understanding some firms are more "investor" friendly than others, and some realtors need more coaching than others (i.e. newbs vs. ones that have been there for a year or two more).

Lets hear how you got to establish that relationship and how you leveraged it to get into your bids/deals

Thanks.

Hey I honestly never looked at it that way,
Its been pretty easy to flip smaller items for me on craigslist in the past but i never thought of it as a vehicle to obtaining capital to do Deals. Definitely will have to give this a try.
Thanks for the post. very very insightful.

Ned Carey. Thanks for the prompt reply to my question. Just goes to show how helpful and powerful this online community really is.

I'm giving the how to find a mentor article a quick read, and i've gone straight to the source by joining the local Charlotte REIA, and was passed a business card or two. Now i just have to call up and figure out how to provide my services to save them time in order to gain that mentorship.

Also, I understand that you found that deal at an investor meeting, but is there any way to circumvent that process. I.E. how to find out where the fire damaged houses are recorded in a certain locale and then find out how to get them under contract? I think your method is fantastic and it certainly gives me the vigor I need to get out there and find these deals since they're everywhere!

If you're ever in charlotte let me know.

Hey,

Robert L here ( a recent college graduate that is quickly realizing the potential RE has to build wealth). Right now i'm looking to acquire knowledge & mentorship, since I'm long on time. Any young wholesalers out there that'd like to share their stories on how they started out with little cash outlay (<10K) or those Wholesalers that started out as birddogs.

Any input will be absorbed and appreciated

Thanks to such a great community.
