If BiggerPockets developed a card style game who would be interested?

What type of game would you like to see (standard board game, card style tabletop game, etc)?

Would you prefer it to be more serious and educational like CashFlow, or more fun and party style like Exploding Kittens or Unstable Unicorns?

Any specific strategies do you think should be included in the game (BRRRR, House Hacking, Wholesaling, etc..)

Who knows, maybe in a year or two we could be house hacking and doing BRRRR s with our friends and family around a table or at a meetup! Seriously though, we need something other than CashFlow... It's been 20 years.lol

Let me know what you think?

@Derrick Gamez I really appreciate your feedback! We are still seeking interest and feedback so if the majority of people would prefer a lower price without all the bells and whistles on design we may end up going that way with it. You feedback was super valuable though. Thanks again.

Hi,

I am in the process of creating a board game to pitch to BiggerPockets.
Most of us on here have played or at least heard of the CashFlow game by Robert Kiyosaki. If you have ever played it you can probably resonate with the fact that, although it is a pretty fun game, it is quite outdated and can be cumbersome to play.

I am creating an updated F.I.R.E. board game that is going to incorporate all of the modern strategies to reaching F.I. that we know and love like: real estate investing (BRRRR, Wholesale, Flips, etc...), Index fund investing (think the 4% rule) and the wonderful "financial runway" strategy coined by Scott Trench. It will have some aspects of gameplay that we are all familiar with already but will also have plenty of modernizing touches as well as some humorous millennial SLANGuage thrown in for good measure.

One of the best parts is that it is going to have an accompanying free app that does all of the calculations for you. There will be no play money, and no income statement/balance sheet that you have to keep updating. This should make for a much smoother gameplay. It will also be able to scan the game cards and prompt you to either accept or reject certain opportunities as they come your way.

All of this will be packaged in a very sleek and modern design with high quality rubberized satin finishes and UV spot gloss artwork. Imagine a business blue and light grey on matte black color scheme to match BP branding style.

Please respond with any constructive feedback, encouragement and whether this is something that you would consider buying if the price point was between $50 - $80 dollars.

I sincerely appreciate any responses!

** I have attached a simple mood board to give an idea of the design scheme.

Nathan,

That’s odd that it isn’t displaying. It is showing up on my browser.

The images aren’t of the actual game board, just the mood board showing the style of design that the box, board, and cards would have.

I am currently developing the game and plan to pitch to BP in a few months. I am trying to collect a sample of market interest before proceeding with a full prototype so I may do a false sales funnel that says (this product isn’t available just yet, please check back soon) so I can track how many people attempt an order.

The game is going to be a very modernized updated game similar in gameplay to CashFlow but incorporating a lot of Modern strategies and smoother gameplay with the accompanying app.

The idea is that you can escape the “rat race” with more than one strategy. It is going to have the ability to collect cash flowing assets, invest in index funds in pursuit of the 4% rule, or save a financial runway and quit your day job to try to get a huge income. The game will be somewhat serious and somewhat humorous with millennial jokes and BP inside jokes strewn throughout.

I’m excited for your interest!

Hello everyone. My name is Reilly and I am new to real estate investing. I read a few books that got me interested in the subject and now I have a desire to actually get involved a do deals. I have zero real estate investing experience but I have been active duty in the Air Force for over five years so I have acquired the skill of learning quickly. I am looking for someone to help me with my first few deal so that I can get my feet wet before I jump headfirst. I look forward to hearing from some of you.
