These are some great tips. I'm currently reading @J Scott's book on estimating rehabs and it is really good. As stated earlier his book on flipping houses provides a lot of great tips too. You seem to be on the right track. Good luck!

Welcome @Edwin Rustrian! I'm in Perris as well looking to get started in Real Estate investing. You should also check out BP podcasts, it has a lot of useful information.

Hi Kelli and thanks for the welcome! I said yikes because most people say that I have my hands full with 5 children, lol! While this is true I would like to think that I have some of it under control, lol. But I wouldn't change it for the world! Hats off to your mom for 10. It can be a lot of fun with a house full of siblings 🙂.

Hi BP Family!

I wanted to re-introduce myself. I found out about BiggerPockets about 3 years ago and kind of pitter-pattered around but never used it to it's full potential. A little about myself: I'm 39 years old, married and a mother to 5 children (yikes!). I'm also a full time nurse and live in Perris, California. I'm really interested in RE and had my RE license at one point. I got distracted (had 2 kids) but now I'm back. I own my own home but really want to invest in RE. I'm interested in flipping SFR and would eventually like to buy and hold multi-family RE properties. I have been listening to the BiggerPockets podcasts daily, looking at the webinars and bought a few books. I'm currently reading J Scott's book The Book on Flipping Houses. I have a little money set aside and plan to continue saving to help me start investing. I would love to meet up with seasoned RE investors in the Inland Empire area and possibly partner up on a flip (I'll buy lunch/coffee). I'm willing to travel up to 50 miles, and invest my time and sweat equity into getting things done.

Thanks BP!

Jenkins Ramon, good idea about the keywords.

Ned Carey, I will definitely check out that post.

Kelly McMahon, my husband and I are buying our first home this summer and plan to use that as a stepping stone into Real Estate Investing. Good luck to you!

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome!

Hi Everyone!

I'm Jiana and I'm looking to invest in real estate. I currently work as a nurse but I want to transition into real estate investing full time in the Los Angeles area. I'm trying to soak up as much information as possible and I have already found some information listening to the BP podcasts. My main goal is to buy SF and Multifamily units to rent out. I'm also interested in buying and flipping. I'm hoping to learn more from the BP members, maybe find a mentor and network as well. I'm willing to volunteer my time to learn as much as possible.

Thanks!
