Post: Potential tenant wants to buy the house. What are my options?

I have had numerous prospective tenants say that they wanted to buy over the past 10 years and none have ever followed through.  As others have said, do  the year lease.  If they do actually want to buy DO NOT SELLER FINANCE!

The biggest problem I have had in Harris, Brazoria and Galveston counties is that my signs has been that they were removed, damaged or defaced.  I have never had any legal problems with signs in Texas.

Stay close to home.  Any more than a 30 minute drive is a deal killer for me. You will thank yourself after you have a few properties.

Thanks Jeremy, I will give them a look see too. I was hoping for a one stop shop, but at this point I'll take what I can get.

I have been using HD Supply for plumbing /electrical supplies, appliances and other needs for the past 10 years.  Now some management genius has decided that they will no longer deliver to my house.  Their warehouse house is way on the other side town. Can anyone recommend a similar supplier that delivers or has a warehouse on the south side of Houston closer to Friendswood?

Veronica,

I have nothing in Manvel, but I think over the next 10 years there is  lot of potential growth in the  Manvel /Alvin area.  So if you are thinking long term I'd say do it.

Phillip,

I have 3 properties in those nicer subdivisions in that area. Those are my most under performing properties. Getting good tenants is always a problen. My best performers are IN PEARLAND! Stick closer to home. The Hood  is just going to be problemmatic, unless you are planning to be a total slumloard.

I don't provide refrigerators, washers or dryers.
