Hi guys! im planning on buying my first property as a house hack .

is it advisable to open a new bank account prior to buying the property or wait after the purchase?

i know some say that you should seperate all transactions from your name and create a seperate bank account for your property.

thanks!

Hi, Im looking into house hacking in Philadelphia, Im not a local and Im limited to the information that I have about the neighborhoods in Philly. My plan of strategy is to buy a house live for about one to two years and then move out to the next hack.

What do you guys think about Whitman, Greys Ferry, Point Breeze or Port Richmond area?

thanks BP Fam

@Jaron Walling hey man thanks for the input, I don't know how you evaluated  how much Im willing to give up to start my journey without knowing me personally and just basing it off from my Instagram account. But hey, nothing wrong with your opinion and impression.

although I agree with the debt free, market research and job stability part.

currently I'm close to being debt free, and i've been doing some market research too, but the job stability is my only problem. I'm working on fixing this soon so I can start buying properties.

thanks for the message!

Im trying ti get Pre-approved but banks are super strict with their guidlines nowadays. On top of that, I got unemployed during covid season. Now im working TWO part-time Jobs. Which I think makes me less bankable

On the other hand, I have my brother that could co-sign with me and ready to go for it to start investing in Real estate.

Does anyone have the same issues that I have?

Thanks BP!
