@Brian L.

Thank you very much! I even looked at that link, but thought it too crazy to be what people should type in to find me!!! I did try to copy it from under my profile, and that didn't work... But what DID work, was I accidentally clicked it and it opened up a new tab in the web bar.. THEN I copied/pasted to BP. Took a little work... Thank you for answering sooo quickly. I am telling you... This place is a gold mine! Hope you have a fabulous day!

I have a linkedin account, but I am not sure how to list it on my profile on BP. Under account settings, it gives a number of different social media sites where I could potentially add my linkedin link... But how in the world do I find what mine is? ? on BP it says, www.linkedin.com/_________ what would I put behind that?

@Karen Margrave

Thank you for your help! I will certainly do as you advised! I am already going to REIA meetings, in fact, recently became members of the TRIAD REIA... WE are very serious about our education and financial freedom, now and in the future!

@Dmitriy Fomichenko

Thank you!

@Brandon Turner

Thank you! I have already taken a lot of advantage of the forums, podcasts, and have already requested several colleague requests that I hope will help my husband and I to begin networking!

@Nicolas Gonzalez

Thank you very much for the welcome to BP AND WS! We are actually very fortunate to be able to move to Winston. We are currently trying to network and meet with people from all aspects of RE so we can become familiar! We are looking to network, and from what I understand so far, building the foundation to our business is the first step! Not only education, but with like-minded folks! It's amazing the type of information on BP! I have been amazed at all the FREE but priceless information my eyes and ears have come across! I listened to several podcasts already and am amazed at the people willing to share their knowledge!

To all~ Thank you for taking the time out of your schedules to even respond to me... I downloaded the app for BP to my iphone, but it doesn't show responses or messages for me, so I had no idea y'all had commented and I am soooo sorry about the delay of getting back to you! My husband and I are in the learning process and I am usually very good about timing.

I will leave with one more side note: Because of one of the whole sale podcasts, I was able to grasp a little more knowledge from WHERE to get my leads! The podcast was AMAZINGLY educational and I have already put a lot of the practices in place! What I am finding a little difficult now, is I'm not sure I understand where exactly to go to find distressed homeowners on the county websites including but not limited to back taxes and code violations... I THINK what I am supposed to do, is get the address of the properties that are listed with delinquent back taxes and actually ride by them to see if they are vacant... or mail the alternate address to address the homeowner. I also am having a difficulty in figuring out which ones are residential and which ones are commercial! If there is anyone willing to respond, I would great appreciate it! Thank you all again for your help! (if someone knows how to get messages and responses via the APP for iphone, please let me know!)

@Brian Gibbons

Thank you! One thing at a time... What do I need to do first? (hopefully while I am in the process of my first wholesale?)

@Bill Gulley

WoW! thank you very much! I WILL check into that! I can't be prancing around a subject I know nothing about! what I really need also is to "partner" with someone to show me the ropes... let me be there for every meet, greet and conversation... I totally will check into the classes! Thank you!

@aaron montague,

I appreciate you telling me the main points of what it is we need to do to start. I am thankful for that especially because in the big world of REI, it's very confusing to know where to start!

@Dell Schlabach,

Thank you for your kind words. He does possess an extreme talent to be able to take something out of nothing, and make it look amazing! We would love to start off with that being our technique, but we do not have the ability to come up with the money ourselves. I'm considering asking around, to see if we could "exchange" what we can do for help in that area. I like your idea of starting the whole fix and flip idea while being mentored then get some real training "per say" to do a real wholesale. Thank you!

@Jason Eyerly,

Thank you for your idea! We are currently members of our REIA, and we understand the importance of networking and getting ourselves out there! Thank you for reminding me just how important it is to build relationships! The reason why I asked for a mentor, is because I read in this forum that the main reason some don't have a mentor and wish they did, is simply because they didn't ask! So... I was just making sure that that same situation didn't claim me too! :)

To all that answered, thank you. Feel free to send your knowledge my way anytime! :)

My husband and I are very very new in REI... WE would like a mentor! We want to make educated decisions and need a little help in different areas. We live in the Winston-Salem area. PLEASE contact me if you think you can help, or know of one that can. Our starting goal is to wholesale. (however, we have some pretty good knowledge about general remodeling/construction).. Any ideas? thank you in advance

@Karen margrave,

I'm totally not sure how you got my name highlighted like that! Please reveal that to me! Anyhow, I appreciate you getting back to me so quickly! This site is a lot to take in with lots and lots and lots... of knowledge! I feel fortunate that I stumbled across it! I have already taken your advice and at least used an image! I have not read the beginner book yet, but I fully intend on it! We are ready to get rocking and rolling... Thank you very much again for welcoming me! I will get out there pronto and start looking for prices. How would one go about doing that?? I heard looking on the tax paperwork.. where would one find that? Can anyone point me the right way to begin looking for investors??

My name is Angela. My husband and I are SO new that we have just an idea of what we want to start with! We are researching wholesaling real estate... Now, there are two strategies with getting our feet wet. My husband and I also do handy man services... So, we think between his handy dandy jobs and my ability to negotiate, and with the very real fact that we have no money to invest at this time, that those are two real ways we can begin with. We are serious about financial freedom! We recently joined are nearby REIA to begin networking and learning lots and lots of information! We aren't sure how to gain a mentor.. but I know that I can't get anything without asking. SO, I will dive right in! I have been reading a lot of the posts over that last few days in these forums... And, may I say, that this site is quite possibly the best resource I have found in all of my researching thus far. Please, feel free to ask questions if you have them! Thank you for all this invaluable information and thank you for sharing!
