Post: Where you at Myrtle Beach Flippers!?

Hey everyone!
I'm currently looking for an experienced flipper in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. Who has ideas of where to look? I've put out ads on craigslist so far, and am working on making it to the next REIA meeting here to work on connecting with some folks. I have GC experience, and a little bit of cash to put towards a deal.
@Daniel Hyman - Are common areas split 50/50 as well then? Another checking account is a good idea, I think I'll do that. Just been saving receipts so far...
Thanks for the reply!

If you want to do a floating floor, you could glue a very thin plywood/leuon to the 9x9 tiles as to not disturb the asbestos. Then lay you're vapor barrier on top of that, followed by the floor covering itself. Floating floor over a concrete slab should not be an issue so long as the vapor barrier is sufficient, installed properly, and the slab is not saturated at the time of installation. Also, those old 9x9's will likely break up some while you're working regardless of what you cover them with. I think that the leuon would help distribute the weight and prevent excessive cracking in the tiles as well.
FYI - Not sure about your state/local laws, but the EPA doesn't care about someone disturbing asbestos in their own home. Furthermore, 9x9 tiles can typically be removed "non-friable" so long as you can lift them without destroying. Let me know if you'd like any more info on that and I'd be glad to shoot some over.

Makes sense @Michael Seeker. What rights does a tenant have while going M2m? Could the landlord decide to stop allowing M2M at any time?

Hey BP-
I'm currently renting but in the market to purchase a multi-family that I will owner occupy. My current lease is up April 30th. From reading my lease, 30 days notice needs to be given for any changes. This is only my second year renting, and I've never renewed a lease before. My question to you is this...When is the best time to ask to go month to month? I'm fairly doubtful that the owner will accept this, but I think it's my best option if I haven't found/closed on a property by the end of March. I think that telling them too far in advance takes away any advantage that I have as far as timing, but I don't want to get sucked into another year long lease with early termination fee's for moving into my newly purchased property. Thanks in advance for any/all thoughts!

@Wayne Brooks - Maybe a high exception, but I'd prefer that to the alternative.
If I can find something that comes close to cash flowing while I live there, I'll jump on it. After all, after a year or so I'll likely move on to something else and rent out the unit that I was previously occupying...
