Not for monthly payment but down payment to afford buying

@Mike Reynolds btw I completely forgot, Musk gives stock options to all Tesla employees even production associates....so its not just 50K -:)..folks made a killing on Tesla stock last year and Long timers made more..

hopefully as Elon mentioned, east Austin booms more than NA in the coming 10 years -:)

@Rick Reeder, can't the assessor just type property address on Redfin/zillow to find out what was purchase price ? :)

@Mike Reynolds...its probably not just these employees who will buy here...market is pricing in infiltration from NA...NA homes are just unbuyable for many so they have to go somewhere, plus this part of Austin might be a great spot for rental property investment owners who can afford 350K and happily place a 50K Tesla tenant :)

and btw you need to consider household income for home buying....so a household income of 75-100K can easily afford 350K homes as well

@Matt Stricklen, yes but I am extremely nervous how 2021 tax assessment will be done as people have bid 100-150K over asking ...2020 assessed value is wayyy lower than 2021...for ex: a house in round rock was assessed at 200K in 2020, listed for 270K, sold for 350K...so how would 2021 tax bill be assuming rate is 2.5%?

Another headlines by Elon...still speculation but would be amazing for SE Austin area...

@Matt Stricklen, if you dont mind sharing how much is the tax increase delta? is this based off of sale price of home?

around 20-30%...thats the trend usually seen in Nevada giga factory...factory hosts mostly blue collar jobs. white collar guys rarely visit those factories except when needed
