For those who dont know, a domain style development is breaking ground near COTA in SE Austin. Here is a link to the website. http://velocityatx.com

I emailed their PR team and current progress is they already have a large cosmetics company as their first client. They are expected to complete several multi family homes in the next 15 months. Full development projected to take almost 10 years , but its good they will be having more multi family units in this area by 2022.

so Tesla will add 10k jobs, SpaceX another how many jobs?? Also I heard first tenant moved in for the velocity project. I hope Del Valle is gonna take off :)

is the space X facility planned in Del Valle? Also would be interesting to note if thats just offices or launch sites? if its the later I'd be surprised as that is not welcome close to residential areas in 78725/78617 areas

Land affordability and availability is more in South east --Del Valle, Bastrop, Lockhart..Del Valle is closest to Tesla and downtown...far north too but I don't know much either...I recently closed a SFH in DV, hoping it works out in the long run

@Daniel Toback no one can tell that...but Tesla is now wanting to train DV ISD school students and increase wages in this part of town which is historically lagging compared with North Austin...I am hoping 78725/78617 zip codes will benefit a lot...Homes still affordable around 280K to 350k Ranges

Interesting ! Can we get a similar report somewhere broken down by zip codes within Austin and suburbs?

@Jay

@Jay Sheth ok, no chance of break even ...rents are not catching up and property taxes will rip you apart lol..you can get awesome homes in any high growth area with that pricer point though within Austin city limits

@Jay Sheth what's your price point? That will decide the next course of actions ---how much down/areas for break even/growth etc..

@Matt Stricklen interesting video.. Lennar/Sun chase is in Del Valle (very close to Cedar creek)..that community was all sold out last month. Gray point also in DV has multiple floor plans..smallest being 1550 sq ft starting in mid 350s fully done !!!! not sure if they are sold out or not

@Michael Encoy whole of Austin is hot now loll....just depends on your PP and how much cash flow u want...if u want more cash flow with little downpayment, you have to go outside of Austin suburbs...georgetown is also crazy expensive now..people are talking for Jarrell, temple, Killeen now up north.....south even Kyle/buda are out of reach
