@Theresa Harris

My Evil neighbor strikes back again.Her claim is that my tenant's car ended up making a minor scratch onto her tenant's car in the opposite driveway. If accident happened (if any)Its really an issue which has to be dealt among tenants themselves, the elderly keeps ringing my doorbell and keeps warning me about filing a police case against my tenant whom she suspects has no driver's license with whom I had no issues for over two years now. How to best handle this situation?

Why bother when there are cheaper and portable alternatives like table fans? I wouldn't even bother if there is already a central ac

Hello,

I came across an inteating article about Mortgage porting in Canada and found it very interesting. Is Mortgage porting possible here in the US? I.e Is it possible to transport my current conventional mortgage to another home with the same interest rate and terms to another property in a different city or state?

Would this be an exercise in vain trying to pursue this with my lender? Please note My closing disclosure has no mention about mortgage portability but my 30 yr mortgage has changed hands of up to half a dozen lenders already.

Appreciate your inputs

Thanks

Post: Oakland Vs Northern California Vs Folsom

Hello,

I need to immediately relocate to San Francisco and its is not making any sense to buy a SFH in the Socal in places like Pleasanton, Fremont, etc so I was thinking I should house hack a multifamily. What according to the experienced members here would be a better strategy to begin house hacking a MF. I was considering Oakland (both East and West and even Richmond) closer to the BART station so that it can help me commute to work daily. I am also considering Northern california San Rafel, Santa Rosa etc but not sure about the commute to work in SF. Really appreciate if someone can give some expert guidance here.

Thanks

@Reed Rickenbach

Thank you, I am just trying to find ways to tap on that built in equity without having to sell or refinance, looks like a better approach would be to invest using liquid cash and have heloc as a buffer for any emergency

@Charles Carillo

Yes, I do. Should I be using liquid funds instead of Heloc?

Hello,

I am just toying with this idea of investing into syndications using HELOC from my current rental as there is substantial equity which can be tapped into is that too risky? Appreciate your inputs

Thanks

@Jerry V.

Thanks a lot for giving this new insight,

the current skylight in the bathroom is rectangular in shape around 3.5ft x 2ft

is it still possible to go with this solar setup?

I will also research further into this.

@Bruce Woodruff

Thank you so much for the feedback and I too am leaning towards removing them and have regular roofing there, I also have one in the kitchen.

I was even thinking to replace( or add on top of existing roof )with a solar roof to get extra protection in addition to saving energy bills

do you think that would be a good idea?
