Just flip them, no point in fixing up a house to collect 3000$ in rent just to pay NJ half of it in taxes. Make some good money flipping and buy rentals in a warm red state so you can retire sooner without having to partner with the local government. FL is always popular on the east coast and AZ is a great bet with the rising taxes and ocean levels soon 20% of CA will live in AZ...

One way that could get you or the company a lot of business is to work with investors and landlords to offer an affordable property management or brokerage service that doesn't keep a whole month of rent and start off providing rentals to the younger crowd and from there educate the renters about rent to own deals and proactively convert renters into buyers... which it seems even the phone companies have been able to use that method to get people to spend more on phones...

I personally don't see any possible new beneficial ways for attracting the younger crowd as they age or mature because the ones ready to purchase a home will hopefully be more mature and not as easily distracted... Also i do see that younger people are lazier than our parents (myself included) so if they do decide to start to buy homes than a great investment would be an uber like app for lawn care on demand... Myself included have never bought a car off a dealer lot and i have owned quite a few and the property i own was bought off the two owners directly and i know many young people who browse craigslist for whatever they are passionate about ( either car parts or bike parts for projects etc...) and even though i think social networking has made people less social i think that people are becoming more of a social consumer and personally i always try to negotiate a good deal for myself to save what i can where i can... I may not be the ideal example but i think that more homes will be sold by owner in the future but that is my random prediction and i think you should buy a duplex near a technical university or a medical university to profit off the future generation but like i said purely random speculation...

I looked at a house once in a bad part of Newark and wasn't interested in it after all so I never met the guy....  But that's how I found out about the the lock boxes and cool ways to store keys at the property.... he didn't even know my full name....

The place was a dump with nothing to steal so he just had to trust I would lock it up so what really should affect your decision is what's the worst that can happen? Like if your table saw and tools over there or other valuables like new appliances that can be stolen if the guy forgets to lock up?

come on Doritos... Really..... not taking narcotics???? Little pills fit in your pocket so of course there gona grab some some munchies after they realize cvs stopped selling cigarettes....  A purge??? It may be unrelated and a joke flyer that got out of hand... Or the ring leader has a younger brother in school and the bloods and crips peace treaty I heard one minister talk about on the news was really a merger of sorts monopolizing the criminal activity..... Some of the people may be just be uneducated poor people in a bad situation going with the flow but the ringleaders are real hard dirty scum bag criminals....

The police are a joke and that's what we should be ashamed of.... Both the mayor and police chief's news briefs make me think the city is run by bumbling idiots.... It's a shame all the educated people today go into tech finance or medicine...

@Jon Holdman i just don't see why what i would do would be seen as an evection legal or not because they were friends who had a prior relationship with... and as she said earlier the lease is practically lost and there not trying to squat there just lazy.... so as a friendly friend i am if i have family coming in and i need my buddy out and i gave them notice but they are slackers.... i helped my buddy out and paid for 2 nights  at the inn and helped them pack up so they have 2 full days to look at open apartments and pick a place to move into... the idea being that once they realize they need to check out by noon on the 3rd day I'm sure they will pick a place and do what they need to do... and if they can't they should have thought about it before they packed up and went to the motel temporarily to find a new place... and if they come back ill say hey i got a family I'm hosting so go down to the shelter or the church or wherever they want just not my place....

don't accept any more money and if you have to offer to pay for 2 mights of a hotel when the kids get to town if they haven't found a place yet... than you can just lock them out when the kids get there and if theres any belongings left have them pack them up and move out to garage or under the porch or in storage to "make  room for the kids stuff" and MAKE SURE YOU PAY BUT THEY CHEK INTO ROOM IN THERE OWN NAME... proof on paper they left and weren't forcibly kicked out illegally....

not legal adivice but its just something i would do and of course change the looks the moment there gone... if they come back and attempt to get in the house its trespassing so call the cops

@Matthew Paul I understand if its ground zero by all means she should stay home and I'm not familiar with the city so use your best judgement but i just hope everyone who works at the hospital doesn't decide to stay home because than anyone who needs the hospital would be in a a lot of trouble but use your best judgement and im only so interested in the whole topic because baltimore has always been an interest to me... i drove through many times going down south and stopped for lunch a few times...

Also i would consider some of the leaders of the groups of looters (if there organizing lookouts and conspiring these "strategic looting and scattering throughout the city") terrorist.... its a harsh word but really thats what they are by some standards taking advantage and using fear or terror to there advantage..... and WTF are they looting from a CVS?? PRESCRIPTION NARCOTIS so really theres probably some mastermind organizing a criminal gang to take advantage of the current situation in baltimore... Its at least a RICO case for the group committing looting the cvs and than burned a cop car up the street from the CVS..... who knows what they will do next if they get away with it all after they spend all the money they make from selling the stolen the drugs from the CVS...

I have faith that National guard can assist the state police to lock down the curfew tonight and hopefully every local detective will be on duty tonight and there will be record arrests and hopefully catch the few bad seeds that are probably causing the violence... But than again maybe a hospital isn't a safe place so use your judgement and i hope everything goes well...

Keep us posted and stay safe

im a little bit worried but very happy i never drove down there to look at the 12000$ row houses i saw for sale a year ago when i was poking around jersey CL....

I am all for a peaceful protest but i know in nyc many peaceful protests go on to block traffic in midtown manhattan and close down bridges while the police look on and stand on the side lines like a bunch of trained miniature poodles....  No one thinks about the tourists in the taxis that spend 80$ on what should have been an 18$ ride and the working class people stuck on the cross town busses being made late to work... and when they shut down the Brooklyn bridge the traffic backs up across the bridge on the brooklyn queens expressway causing headaches for tons of truck drivers who just want to get there trucks back to the lot and get on the train to go home...

My point is police have been tolerating so much disrespect and now the criminals are realizing and taking advantage i saw the footage of the CVS looting interrupt my CNBC a few times today... now police are in danger because there rightfully scared to shoot anyone without a gun... even if its a mob of angry criminals who out number the cops... i think they need to call in 500 ambulances and arm the police with the softest smallest bird shot maybe a .410 and have them aim for the feet of anyone looting but is unarmed.... I don't want to see any lives lost or a war break out but at the same time it needs have a lid put on it without TANKS rolling in and troops with gas masks tear gassing everyone to just go home and pack up there car and burn the city down.... if a war breaks out and things go too far i can see baltimore becoming a ghost town...

either neighbors want to buy the place for a better price or they are dumb and don't know what there talking talking about.... It could have have been a janitor that works night shift and the neighbors would think hes vampire and if there were some seedy tweakers renting and they had half a brain they would have probably kept there mouths shut and hope someone new would buy it and screen the tenants better than the last guy....
