I am also a flooring salesman. There are two types of carpet strip, one for wood, one for concrete subfloors. There is also a tool used to "tuck" carpet down near the wood without using a transition. In my opinion if you are a novice in flooring put the tack strip down which already has nails to hit into the concrete, then use a baby threshold to match your wood to cover the transition between rooms for a really clean look.

Let me know if I can help further.

ok Here is the guys link. Looks to me like they are marketing the whole project as an investment....with hundreds of investors buying these properties, correct me if I am wrong, with so many for sale it will drive the price down. Just my opinion!

My name is Michael. I am 22y/o looking to get into REI in the Tampa, FL area. I know this may not be the best time in my area but I am looking for advice and a possible mentor. I have been reading all of the forums working my way back and I have already gained so much information but nothing beats hands on work. Next week I am going to start going to local investor meetings in the area. I also have been looking into bird dogging and wholesaling to gain capital. If someone in the area is willing to help or give me any information it would be appreciated. Right now I work for a flooring company in sales so I know a lot of GC's and specialists that I will be able to use when I do get started. As I said any information would be great! Thanks for your time!

Insurance is very important. Any real and sucessful contractor has liabibity insurace. I know in Florida you can be worker's comp exempt but Liability is what an investor needs to make sure all their subs have.

I to have seen the signs in Tampa, FL. They are everywhere and they ever have the same phone number! Sounds like MLM to me they may offer good incentives like alot of other MLM's but when it comes down to it they are all the same.
