Any Florida Investors out there?

My name is Michael. I am 22y/o looking to get into REIin the Tampa, FL area. I know this may not be the best time in my area but I am looking for advice and a possible mentor. I have been reading all of the forums working my way back and I have already gained so much information but nothing beats hands on work. Next week I am going to start going to local investor meetings in the area. I also have been looking into bird dogging and wholesaling to gain capital. If someone in the area is willing to help or give me any information it would be appreciated. Right now I work for a flooring company in sales so I know a lot of GC's and specialists that I will be able to use when I do get started. As I said any information would be great!
