over the last 3 years I have make over 80K on Econohomes properties.. $40K alone on one 3 blocks from my office. I would never eliminate them as a source.. I will say that the product has been low end for the last 8 months or so.. but it has seemed to ebb and flow like that since I have known of them.

In addition many time the agents are inputting these into an automated system where they just have to check yes or no for POF. Never had a problem with funds being in personal name or a partners.

So it seems that once every few months someone gets into one of my houses and steals something. Usually copper but I just had $400 in plumbung supplies taken. Any ideas on cost effective ways to try to prevent this? I am considering just getting the phone lines turned on to get alarm systems in place. Seems like it will be like $40 per month per property. Any other ideas?

Josh,

I think your right on. Facebook is powerful, I have yet to find Twitter's usefulness but I am still evolving with it. I have a FB profile dedicated solely to RE people and have done many deals with people I have met there. Also people who find me there have told me they found BP because they found me on FB, googled me and found my BP profile!

This is a very delicate area. I would advise anyone considering it to google "Mtt Scott Private Money". Matt is the only one I have ever paid anything to advise me on any part of my RE business. He is extremely knowledgable. FYI I am in no way affiliated.. Just trying to help.

I was also scammed by my spelling teachers..
