Are you guys still planning on meeting up?

Hi Dan,

Jumping 100% in this scenario means using real estate and the sole source of my income. I have focused my time mostly on studying flipping, so that would be the area I would invest initially.

My plan is to start asap while I still hold two incomes as you pointed. There's always to option to still move to Texas and maybe looking into become an investor there, but after having everything set here in CT it just doesn't feel right to pack up and move.

Thanks for your input!

PL

Hi everyone,

I am a long time lurker who's now facing a big decision.

I'be been living off two incomes for the past 7 years, and suddenly both of our jobs are in jeopardy. I now have two options:

1) Sell everything in CT and move to Texas to follow my job, and where it's easier for my wife to also get a job.

2) Jump on real estate 100% with the commitment of making a living off of it.

I have been spending a lot of time educating myself but making this call is really hard. The only positive is that I was able to save some money and can probably manage my first flip without outside funding.

My question is: What's the good, the bad and the ugly of Real Estate in CT right now?

I appreciate any input you guys can give.

Thanks

PL

Hi,

When is the next meetup?

Thanks,

PL

Hi everyone,

I've been lurking through the forums and thought I'd introduce myself. My wife and I are currently working for big corporations but have been flirting with the idea of investing in Real Estate for a while. I've been spending my time reading the forums, books and listening to podcasts.

There's a lot going on in both companies we work for and I think that within 6 months we will either be on another corporate job, or trying out Real Estate.

I live in CT now, but in order to extend my stay in my current job, I will strategically be moving to Plano, TX. I hope that's a good place to start!

I really underestimated how hard it is to give the first step, I am hoping that by getting to know more investors in the area and maybe create a good networking will give me enough confidence to "jump" :)
