I've been wanting to go to this but unfortunately with my previous work schedule I was not able to. However, I've now got a new schedule that fits this monthly event! I'm excited to join the next one! Hope to meet new people, learn and grow with you all!

Hello amazing people!

I don't know exactly how to structure a deal with private money lender. I know it can either be in a form of debt or equity. I understand how the equity side works, but if I'm borrowing money in a form of debt, how do I actually pay that person? For example, if a friend of mine will be my private money lender and I borrow 10k for the gap funds, how do I re-pay my friend? I know there are different ways to structure a deal but how do you do it for your deals? Also, I know interest comes in to play in this but I think I'm getting lost at paying my friend the money that I borrowed plus the interest. Like how do you calculate for this interest? How can I pay-out my friend? Can you use my example to elaborate? I would really appreciate the explanation!

Definitely felt this dilemma about work-RE-life balance. First off, know that it's normal and you're not alone. I would recommend reading the book, "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. It helped me find that balance with life in general. You love your job but since you've already considered getting in to this game, you definitely need to set aside a time for it. Set up specific goals daily. For instance, reaching out to 10 agents. Then the following day would be reaching out to another 10. In this way you've accomplished creating a list of agents you can work with. Obviously, the following week would be a different goal. Also, while at work, you may want to start making time as well reaching out to agents, contractors, etc. because if you're only available during the weekends, not all people are going to be available since they want some fun time and relax too. But yeah, at least start with one goal to accomplish. Just keep putting in that 1% every day. Eventually, you'll be able to find the balance you're looking for. Also, remember that this is a long journey. Don't put a lot of pressure on yourself when you set up a goal. It should serve as guidance and motivation for you. Best of luck, man! You got this!

I'm assuming we're not pushing tomorrow's meetup? Can we at least push it next week, 12/15? I agree with @Anthony Pimentel with meeting up at least before the the holidays and before the year ends.

Hey everyone, I'd love to network with this group. I'm from the SFV, around CSUN. I'm new to the RE investing world and would love to learn from you all. I also hope to share what I'm currently doing with my RE journey and would welcome any feedback.
