Welcome to the BP community! I am new as well and I haven't really looked for a property. Just like you I'm still in my education phase. What I'm currently doing is listening to podcasts from Bigger Pockets and Real Estate Rookie. I did start to listen from their first podcasts just to have an idea what they're talking about but every once in a while, I listen to the recent ones because that's how the market is going now. In addition, I'm also reading real estate books and self-developmental books. Best of luck on your REI journey!

Hey Joel, I'm looking forward to this meet-up! I've been looking for one out here in the valley. Our goals might be a little different but I'd like to at least start building up my network.

Hey Connor, welcome to BP community! I myself is pretty new and based from what I've heard from the podcast and saw here in the forums, I believe house-hacking works best for starters because of the low-down payment,3%-5% (I believe),that we'll be getting. Also, we can learn first-hand how to be landlords. Good luck on your first investment!!

Hi, I'll be following this thread because I'm on the same boat as you. I new to the game. I've been listening to podcasts and studying REI. But yeah, I need to know as well when would be the ideal time to make/transfer to LLC?

@Art Morgan Awesome! I have that book on my waiting list! Still finishing a new one!

This is very inspirational! I'm new to BP and I've been hearing a lot of this BRRRR method from the BP podcast and really caught my attention, and I'm planning to do this strategy myself in a couple of months. I'm still educating myself with RE investing and really getting that strong mindset for this new journey while I'm saving up for my down payment to get my first rental property. Well anyway, congratulations on this! I'm going to save this post so I can go back to it when I do my first one! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Hey everyone!

My name is Patrick Villaviza. I live in San Fernando Valley in Southern California, and I'm really excited to join this game of investing. I'm really starting from zero and do not know anything about real estate investing. I am almost done reading "Rich Dad Poor Dad", which I'm pretty sure most of us here have read. And man! that book really enlightened me to which now I am taking my first step which is joining here so I can educate myself more about investing. Also, I have been listening to the podcasts here and there but of course I think that's a little advance since I'm not entirely sure yet what they're talking about, however, they really make me excited for some reason and really pumps me every time I listen to them. Any tips and tricks are really appreciated!

Cheers!
