@George Blower was reviewing this after thinking about the whole concept and wanted to see if you could explain how the 50% of the assets of the business are calculated is it to total amount of the book value based on dollars in or some other system for calculation?

House Hacking helped me get my first investment going! Great concept, really should be mirrored more often, and works in nearly any market, even internationally.

All up to personal discipline and spending habits. Your first investment will be difficult to finance, but so long as you find success, things will get easier from there. 

@Tyrel McAllister have you invested in a quality legal team? Skimping in this regard can make the process truly mind numbing, and at worst can put your investment at risk. 

I have tried to invest in Mezzanine funding, however it seems to complicated to me. Is this a good fit for beginning investors?

My father started into real estate this way. It does take a while, but you learn so much about the industry prior to investing, and you get a feel for what the customer wants in a home. 

Sometimes trading equity for experience and a guarantee the sale will close efficiently is a worthwhile sacrifice. Just saying. 

I have recently received a very dodgy phone call from "Seed for Capital", the telephone operator had a more obnoxious accent than I do! I believe these guys are 100% fraudulent and you should stay away at all costs. They state they are out of West Virginia, but a google search returns absolutely nothing.

A family member, who owns a construction company, assisted me with the seed capital financing and building of my first investment.
