However requesting to become their colleague and not say why seems a bit silly, perhaps lazy and certainly unprofessional.

Thank you for responding

I followed those people because they are around my area, and maybe there would be an opportunity to hook up. I thought colleague was for people who have worked together before.

I followed a bunch of people near my area the other day but I didn't see a button for messaging them

happy birthday brandon!

So I really want to get started rehabbing, should I make an S Corp before I even get started rehabbing, before I apply for a hard money loan? Would I buy properties through the s corp, apply for hard money through the s corp? What's better for a new yorker, nevada or Wyoming?

If there is a post with this info please link it, I've searched and didn't find anything helpful enough. Thank you

So tomorrow I might go to see a house, I haven't bought a house yet I'm just starting out. It's a 3bed 2bath, 2096 sqft, single family hi ranch for $169,500 on long Island. Anyway my question is, if my goal is to flip this property do I have to worry about the taxes? (The taxes are $11k/yr) are taxes paid at closing or through out the year? Any other advice is welcome (first house I'm going to look at)

Thank you guys for the welcome, and thank you for the links.

Do you know if they will make the podcasts available for Android? I have an iPad but I don't use it much.

As for the meetings do people all go dressed up in suits?

Hi, I'm Pablo from Brentwood NY... I'm just getting started in REI I'm really excited and anxious to get my first property for flipping. My interest started when my younger brother suggested that we sign up for the Armando Montelongo free seminar, and then he paid for us to go to the weekend seminar (he told me after the weekend was over that he almost canceled the payment for the seminar, if he would've who knows I'd probably still be a blue collar zombie with no ambition, still trying to figure out what to do with my life). It just sparked something in me that said you need to stop working jobs you hate and get to doing something bigger that will give you financial freedom, so I've been reading success books and the booklets they gave us at the seminar. We are hoping to partner up, but if we could find people that live around us that are doing it, that'd be great.
