Hey @Doug Steinberg I did my online course through TheCEshop.com. I liked it and I was able to pass the state exam on my first try. Having said that, my girlfriend took the same course but failed her first time. She has since supplemented with online video courses from Tony Mesa (https://www.tonymesarealestateschool.com/) which apparently has been amazing and he happens to be very responsive with any questions that anyone has.

Hey @Doug Steinberg, I'd be glad to help regarding your license. It depends if you prefer online courses (cheaper, self-paced), or live classes (more interaction/engagement/material retention). I can also refer some online videos cram courses. Everyone is different so it depends on your schedule, budget, and learning style.

Hi @Phil Wrigley, yes, each city has its own regulations and licenses, but that may soon be all streamlined thanks to a bill that is going through the Florida legislature as we speak. It is slated to be passed in June or thereabouts. You can read more about about it here:  https://floridapolitics.com/archives/312602-senate-bill-seeks-legal-short-term-rentals-statewide

Post: Best Florida STR Market

@Matthew Stallings Hollywood, FL is pretty STR-friendly; however, I would recommend waiting until this summer before pulling the trigger as there is some legislation going through the Florida government as we speak that could potentially affect the STR market. Better to wait a few months and have the complete picture.
