Hypothetically speaking, If I were to get a conventional loan that paid out 80% and I was only able to put down 5%, could I take out another loan that covered the remaining 5%? Thanks!

Hey guys, this may be a bit unorthodox but if you are a Real Estate Broker or Real Estate Investor in NYC and you are looking for an assistant I'm available! I'm currently in the process of getting my real estate license and  I figured I'd add more value to the market working as a part of a team (as an assistant) rather than following the crowd (i.e. joining a firm and working as an agent).

Although I don't have any experience as an assistant there are a few strengths I feel can be a benefit to anyone who may have their hands tied up. I'm a quick learner, extremely hard working, I'm available 24/7 (except tomorrow at 11:30am, I have an appointment) and I'm really driven especially when it comes to anything that has to do with real estate.

Thanks for your time! :D

I plan on using my Roth IRA to purchase my first rental property. I keep hearing both ends of the stick, good idea and not a good idea. Anyone knows if this is a good idea or not and what are the pros and cons?

@Eric Dowling Thanks for the advice! I still have some number crunching to do to see which market is better

@Melissa Gittens My job contract is actually for a year so I may or may come back to NY I'm not sure what's going to happen in the future. But I'll reach out to you if I have any questions!

Hey guys I have a quick question.

I had all the attentions of buying my first rental property at the end of this year (I live in NY and planned on buying my first property in the NJ region) I just got offered a job in LA where I'll be relocating in September.

My question is should I still buy the property in NJ and have a property management company deal with it or drop the idea completely and start looking in the California region?

As a newbie from NYC I've been looking at investing not to far from the city (Albany, NY) but just out of curiosity wanted to see what else was out there. I kept hearing Akron come up and decided to do research. Unfortunely I came across this article today

http://www.aol.com/article/2015/11/10/no-survivors...

I don't know if this is a sign or not but maybe I should just stick to my local area like originally planned.

Also my thoughts and prays goes out to the families of this tragic accident :/
