Post: Government, Fannie Mae Considering Help for Housing Investors

From CNBC article today ....

"Multiple sources now tell me that the Administration, specifically over at the Department of Housing and Urban Development, is considering ways to get more investors into the housing market, possibly with the help of Fannie and Freddie. HUD would not confirm that, but Fannie Mae's chief economist Doug Duncan said it is definitely on the table both at HUD and at Fannie."

This is sure a nice change ... rather than villify the investor realize they can actually help right the housing market!

Interesting article ... This is how my wife and got started out of college when we had no savings. That small gift has blossomed over the years - not only increasing our quality of life for us and our kids but has become the foundation of our finances. Assuming one can afford such a gift and they have a responsible son/daughter, it's a great idea especially now with ownership being cheaper than renting in some areas. What do you think? Have you either been the receipient or the donor in such a situation and how has the experience worked or not worked out?

Auburn vs Oregon for the championship. Appears to be a great matchup with arguably two best offsensives with two best offsensive players (Newton & James) in the country ..... Go Ducks!!
