Hi Ned! I think I replied to one of your other posts about rental caps in MD. Glad to see some local people are active!

Hello and glad I found this site. We're a General Contractor in N. VA and have been looking at REI for some time. We're considering opening our own brokerage as some of us already have our real estate license. Buying and flipping entry level homes seems to be where our most interest exists, primarily because of price point and experience. We'd appreciate any help, advice or hearing from anyone on the BP network!

Thanks for reading another noob post!

Were in Northern Virginia and I think long and hard before doing business in MD. It's not only the state regulations but, also local policies that make developing, building or investing very "difficult" at times. Whether were talking commercial or residential I'll pursue the project in Virginia over Maryland 99% of the time. Just my choice and opinion..

I too had my loan transferred. My wife had seen someone taking pictures from the street just last Tuesday and on Friday we received our letter from GMAC. I'm not liking what my research has found on this servicer but seeing as they obtained control of the servicing through an asset sale there is nothing I can do about it other than to try and refinance with another lender. Unfortunately, this is about impossible as its been a little bumpy and my credit scores are hurting. Maybe, I'll pursue a loan mod with them and ride it out as long as it take for my scores to get higher.
