Hello Michael, welcome to BP. It has been a great resource for me since I started. I'm new to investing and working toward getting started with wholesaling. Hope to be able to connect with you one day. Take care.

@Carolina E. Thank you so much. That makes me feel better about asking, because it will in fact save time. :)

I wasn't able to find any posts related to this question. If anyone knows of one please let me know.

My question is, would it be uncommon to ask a seller to send photos of their home before you make an appt to see it in person or should you just go?

Asking because I only have public transportation available to me at the moment. I can make arrangements to get to a property that is not on a bus line but I want to make sure it's worth the trouble if I do. Am I overthinking this?

@Karl Krentzel You are awesome! I'm just getting started, actually went "walking" for dollars today. I came across about six properties that I'm going to research. But I got to thinking, "what am I going to say?" Haha. Thanks again!

Thank you guys for your input. I think what I'm going to do is start direct mail for the short term lead generation, but get started with a SEO optimized site for long term lead generation. Either Investor Carrot or LeadPropeller, still researching. Thanks again!

@Mark Kelley Thanks. That makes sense.

I'm am just starting this journey into wholesaling, with limited resources. Not sure if I should focus on direct mailing, as that is what has been recommended. Or should I get a website and focus on doing SEO. I understand that direct mail is a standard for marketing but it seems like it may be oversaturated with potential sellers getting multiple letters/postcards a week.

Is that really the best way to spend what I have? Or do I not know enough about it to see the potential?Any insight is appreciated.

@Walter Purdy That's exactly what I plan to do :) I will keep you in mind when financing comes up, as I'm sure it will. Take care.
