Focus on direct mail or get a website?

I'm am just starting this journey into wholesaling, with limited resources. Not sure if I should focus on direct mailing, as that is what has been recommended. Or should I get a website and focus on doing SEO. I understand that direct mail is a standard for marketing but it seems like it may be oversaturated with potential sellers getting multiple letters/postcards a week.

Is that really the best way to spend what I have? Or do I not know enough about it to see the potential?Any insight is appreciated.
