Thank you all for the advice! I have been interviewing all of the larger brokerages, and I think I have decided on one. My next goal is to get my first client, which is the hard part.

Hey Guys,

I recently passed the Illinois State Broker Exam, and I am having some trouble finding a brokerage to join. I want to gain a lot of experience from top agents, but I don't feel comfortable giving up such a high percentage of my commission along with monthly fees.

If you have any suggestions, please reach out.

Thanks!

Hi,

My name is Nikit Tailor, and I am a recent college graduate, who just started his career as a scientist at a large consumer goods company in Glenview, IL. I've been listening to the BiggerPockets podcast on my long commute to work from St. Charles to Glenview, and I've decided to join the forum. The podcasts have taught me a lot of interesting ways of investing, and I hope to gain a more interactive learning experience through this forum.

I'm currently studying for my real estate license in order to gain a better understanding of the real estate in my community and gain a better education in this field. I plan to continue my career and use my salary as a way to fund my real estate investing. My main objective is to build a portfolio of income properties, that will reward me years later.

I look forward to connecting with others who share the same interests as myself, and learn new ways of real estate investing as well.
