Hi,

My name is Nikit Tailor, and I am a recent college graduate, who just started his career as a scientist at a large consumer goods company in Glenview, IL. I've been listening to the BiggerPockets podcast on my long commute to work from St. Charles to Glenview, and I've decided to join the forum. The podcasts have taught me a lot of interesting ways of investing, and I hope to gain a more interactive learning experience through this forum.

I'm currently studying for my real estate license in order to gain a better understanding of the real estate in my community and gain a better education in this field. I plan to continue my career and use my salary as a way to fund my real estate investing. My main objective is to build a portfolio of income properties, that will reward me years later.

I look forward to connecting with others who share the same interests as myself, and learn new ways of real estate investing as well.

@Nikit Tailor Welcome to BP and congratulations on your graduation, and new job. A lot of people are out there preaching to quit your job and jump off the real estate cliff. Do not listen to them! haha.

I have written a few blogs that may help you out. The first will help you getting started on BP:

https://www.biggerpockets.com/blogs/5868/52761-the...

The second is to help you getting on track with investing:

The third will help you find an agent if you decide to not pursue a license.

and the last is an article I wrote for the BP blog about helping you pass the real estate licensing exam on the first attempt:

Hope those help you out, feel free to reach out if you have any questions :)
